Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Sept. 2-6.
Monday: Center closed
Tuesday: Cheeseburger, Diced Potatoes, Broccoli Slaw, Cantaloupe or Beef and Cheese Sandwich
Wednesday: Western Omelette, Sausage, Potatoes, Biscuit, Fruit Salad or Salad with Chicken
Thursday: Stuffed Cabbage, Mashed Potatoes, Diced Beets, Yogurt or Chef Salad with Turkey
Friday: Chicken Parmesan, Pasta, Vegetable Blend, Salad, Pound Cake or Chicken and Cheese Sandwich
The senior center also announced the following events.

Center closed Sept. 2; Bingo on Sept. 3 at 10:45 a.m.; Name that Tune on Sept. 4 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. followed by Trivia at 11 a.m.
Scattergories on Sept. 9 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on Sept. 10 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Sept. 11 at 11 a.m.; Game Day on Sept. 12 at 11 a.m.; Skeeball on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.
Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Nesquehoning
Bake sale fundraiser
Nesquehoning’s fundraising group will hold a bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 13, in front of the borough office building, 114 W. Catawissa St. Proceeds from the sale benefit the borough Hometown Heroes banner program and will be used to purchase American flags to accompany the banners.
Donations are being accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Nesquehoning Historical Society, with a note in the memo “Flag Fund” and mailed to 157 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning PA, 18240.
A second bake sale will be held Oct. 11 to help raise funds for community events in the borough.
