One young male was injured Thursday evening when involved in a crash in West Penn Township. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near 175 Mountain Drive just east of the village of Andreas.

The driver apparently lost control near an intersection, entering the south berm and hitting a tree. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance before being transported to an area trauma center. West Penn Fire Company responded to the scene.

West Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. West Penn police are investigating the incident.
