Kabana, who strikes out the side in the first inning, finishes the contest with eight punchouts. The winners score the only run they would need in the third when Bernie Heller delivers an RBI single. Tamaqua adds an insurance tally in the sixth as Paul Lenick singles, steals second and scores on an error. Lenick finishes with a pair of hits, while Thorpe receives two hits from Perry.
