The Times News has immediate openings for freelancers to cover meetings and weekend events on as needed basis in the following areas: Lehighton/Palmerton, Tamaqua and Pleasant Valley.

Sports writers and photographers are also needed.

We are looking for reliable people with the ability to write and quote people accurately and the willingness to learn. A knowledge of current events and government proceedings is a plus for news stories.
