August 22, 2003 — Mike Hrbek turns in a round under par to help Pleasant Valley roll to a 22 1/2-1 1/2 Mountain Valley Conference golf victory over East Stroudsburg South. Hrbek fires a one-under 71 to earn medalist honors and defeat his opponent by a 3-0 score. The Bears, coached by Steve Krechel, also receive 3-0 victories from Joel Finnochio, Jake Scheib, Brad Yocum, Ryan Blakeslee and Giles Santomauro. Mike Scocozza gains a 2 1/2-1/2 win, while Greg Piechota downs his opponent by a 2-1 count.
