A Schuylkill county home was destroyed by a fast- moving fire Thursday morning. The blaze was reported at 11:30 a.m. at 1222 Valley Road in Cass Township, just north of Minersville.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found the two-story wood frame single family dwelling fully involved in flames.

Fire companies from throughout the area responded to the scene with the roadway being shut down for three hours. No injuries were reported in the incident.

A state police fire marshal is on scene investigating the fire.
