West Penn Township supervisors took the following action Tuesday morning:

• Approved a notification letter concerning the Andreas Halloween Parade, and to allow the West Penn Lions Club and the Andreas Sporting Club to host their annual Andreas Halloween Parade contingent on receiving their special events permit from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. As part of PennDOT’s requirements to receive a special event permit, notification letters and certificate of insurance for the event needed to be sent out. The Andreas Halloween Parade is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 16, with a rain date of 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

• Agreed to pay a township police officer three hours of overtime for a License Plate Reading event to be held on Oct. 17 at the township municipal building.

• Announced that the West Penn Lions Club will have a pulled pork BBQ from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 14. The cost is $10 per ticket, and preorders are recommended.

• The board’s next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 3.
