Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Aug. 26-30.

Monday: Swedish Meatballs, Rotini, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Apple Slices or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Tuesday: Chicken Kiev, Scalloped Potatoes, Spinach, Applesauce or Salad with Beef

Wednesday: Hot Dog, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Watermelon or Salad with Chicken

Thursday: Chicken Sweet Potatoes, Cauliflower, Pudding or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Friday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Wax Beans, Yogurt or Tuna Sandwich

The senior center also announced the following events.

Game Day on Aug. 22 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Aug. 23 at 10 a.m.

Crafts on Aug. 26 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on Aug. 27 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Aug. 28 at 10:30 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m.; Now You Have It Now You Don’t on Aug. 30 at 11 a.m.

Center closed Sept. 2; Bingo on Sept. 3 at 10:45 a.m.; Name that Tune on Sept. 4 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. followed by Trivia at 11 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Back to School

The Panther Valley School District welcomes students back to school for the 2024-25 school year. The first day of school for all students will be Monday. It will be a full day.

Time schedules are as follows: Jr./Sr. High School (grades 7-12) 7:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m., Intermediate School (grades 4-6) 8:15 a.m.-3 p.m., Elementary School (grades K-3) 8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

In-service activities are planned for staff members Thursday.

Open House will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the junior-senior high school; 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the intermediate building; and 5-7 p.m. at the elementary.
