Northern Lehigh School Board — personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters last week:

Resignations

• Jamie Snyder, reading specialist, Peters Elementary School, effective July 1; Megan Fink, districtwide permanent substitute, effective Aug. 9; Alexis Hollinger, special education paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary School, effective Aug. 7.

Administrative transfer

• Andrea Rosario, from ES instructional paraprofessional at Slatington Elementary to instructional intervention paraprofessional Slatington Elementary, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 20.

Appointments

• Josephine Flugger, temporary professional employee, reading specialist, Peters Elementary, $61,575, effective Aug. 20; Jessica Jackovitz, temporary professional employee, special education teacher, Slatington Elementary, $65,675, effective Aug. 20; Kathleen O’Donnell, temporary professional employee, librarian/media specialist, $64,775, effective on or about Sept. 17; Mary Beth Armitage, professional employee, English as a second language teacher and Spanish teacher, $70,175, effective upon release from current employer; Caitlyn Wilder, temporary professional employee, high school social studies, $67,075, effective Aug. 20; Christine Weston, districtwide licenses practical nurse, $26.18 per hour, effective Aug. 20; Tina Beltz, cafeteria/hall monitor high school, $14.72 an hour, effective Aug. 20; Amy Brown, special education paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary, $16.39 per hour, effective Aug. 20; Jennifer Lindtner, instructional intervention paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary, $16.39 per hour, effective Aug. 20.

Districtwide permanent substitute teachers

• Nicole Kinney, Morgan Kemmerer, daily per diem rate of $150 and will receive district health benefits according to the Affordable Care Act regulations, with copayment amounts equivalent to that of district personnel.

Maintenance water testing stipend

• Increase for Matthew Stevens in the amount of 35 cents per hour for acquiring state certification in water testing, which will become effective on the date listed on the state license received from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems.

Detention supervisors

• Debra Knerr, Michele Paul, middle school administrative detention supervisors, and Christopher McCarty, high school administrative detention supervisor, $20 per hour worked.

Web page maintenance

• Andrew Kern, $500 stipend, for high school website maintenance and working with students during the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by the general fund high school student activities fund, $1,000 stipend, for maintenance updates of the district website during the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by the superintendent’s budget, $500 stipend, for middle school website maintenance and working with students during the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by the general fund middle school student activities fund; Janet Bashore, $500 stipend, for maintenance and updates of the Peters Elementary website during the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by Peters Elementary principal’s discretionary account; Kori Dibilio, $500 stipend, for maintenance and updates of the Slatington Elementary website during the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by Slatington Elementary principal’s discretionary account.

Yearbook stipends

• Michelle Siesko, $650 stipend, for creating the Peters Elementary School Yearbook for the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by the Peters Elementary School budget; Michelle Brown, $750 stipend, for creating the Slatington Elementary School Yearbook for the 2024-25 school year, to be funded by the Slatington Elementary School budget.

Co-curricular rescind appointment

• Steven Jonkman, elementary summer band camp adviser, approved on the April 8 board agenda.

Co-curricular appointment

• Mikayla Vangelo, middle school band director, $1,209

Marching band independent contractor

• Ashlee Winkle, independent contractor, 2024-25 high school marching band season as guard instructor at a cost of $1,000, which is included in the high school student activities budget.

• Acknowledged that teacher Mary Frank, from Step 10B+24 to Step 10M, has completed the requirements per the collective bargaining agreement that would entitle her to a salary increase for the 2024-25 school year.
