Progress in the official formation of the Carbon County Industrial Group was noted during a meeting of representatives of the four industrial corporations of the various sections of Carbon County held in the Lehighton Elks Lodge.

The Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corporation was represented by William Gillespie and Atty. George M.D. Richards; the Lehighton Industrial Development Corporation and the Central Carbon Industrial Development Corporation by Atty. William H. Bayer, Edgar A. Poe, George I. LaRose, Daniel Watt, Fred Manning, Harold Richards, Vincent McFadden and Gerald Jackson; PACE by its president, Atty. Murray Mackson, Palmerton; and the Carbon County Planning Commission by its executive director, Mrs. Agnes McCartney.
