STATE POLICE AT STROUDSBURG
State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 29-year-old Saylorsburg man was charged with strangulation after police responded to an active domestic incident at 1:19 p.m. July 19 at a property on Rachel Road, Hamilton Township.
The incident involved a 32-year-old woman from Gilbert. Police said the woman had multiple injuries.
• Danny Jesus, 34, of Stroudsburg, is facing drug possession charges after an incident at the barracks, 2730 Rimrock Road, Hamilton Township.
Police said they answered a walk-in complaint at 7:30 p.m. July 28 and Jesus caused a disturbance in the department’s lobby, repeatedly called the emergency line with no legitimate purpose and refused to leave the premises.
Police said he had a small amount of marijuana and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
• Jerriel Smith, 40, of Long Pond, is facing theft of a motor vehicle charges after police were called to an incident at 9:30 p.m. July 9 at a home on Ash Road, Middle Smithfield Township.
Police said a 2019 Hyundai Tucson was stolen but later recovered at Murray’s Towing yard.
• A 25-year-old woman from Saylorsburg is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police conducted a traffic stop at 2:16 a.m. July 20.
She was stopped in a 2014 BMW for Motor Vehicle Code violations on Main Street in Stroudsburg.
• A 31-year-old Barnesville man is facing a charge of harassment by communications after police responded to an incident at noon July 8 on Mud Run Road, Price Township.
Police said the text-based harassment targeted a 31-year-old woman from Cresco.
• Police were called to a harassment by physical contact incident involving a 2-year-old boy from Asheville, North Carolina.
Police said they were told it occurred between 2001 and Dec. 31, 2019, at a property on Windsor Way, Hamilton Township.
• Police were summoned to a criminal mischief incident at 9:39 a.m. July 3 at a property on Lake Shore Drive, Hamilton Township.
A Sciota man reported a floodlight above his garage door was broken. Police said their investigation showed a rock from the gravel driveway was used to shatter the glass protecting the bulb.
• Police said occupants in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring were identified in a simple trespass incident police were called to at 1:30 a.m. July 15 by a 57-year-old Saylorsburg man. The suspects were advised to stay off the man’s premises on Williams Court, Hamilton Township.
