The American Fire Company No. 1, Lansford, officially dedicated its newest piece of fire apparatus during a ceremony held Sunday afternoon.
Fireman Edwin H. Stickler had the honor of breaking a foil-wrapped bottle of champagne over the 1982 Pierce pumper.
Prior to the housing of the vehicle, Stickler was honored by his fellow firemen who on a plaque presented by Fire Chief George Krajnak labeled him the senior member of the department for his 55 years of service.
The featured speaker for the program was Leonard Strauss of Mahoning Valley, a representative of the Domestic Fire Apparatus, Downingtown.
