Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, is offering its monthly free drive-thru and pick-up supper from 5-6 p.m. today. The menu includes a turkey hoagie, chips, macaroni salad, watermelon and dessert. Helpers are needed any time after 2:30 p.m. Brown lunch bags, desserts and sandwich bags are always needed.

American Legion 927 is hosting its Friday Karaoke Night beginning at 7 p.m.
Austin’s Blue Line
A motorcycle ride/rally will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Activities begin at 9 a.m., with kickstands up at 11:15 and a barbecue starting at 1 p.m. All are welcome to the event at the American Legion on Gilbert Road, Gilbert.

Free movie night

Effort UMC’s Prayer Shawl group will meet to work on prayer shawls from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WE Republicans
The next regular scheduled meeting of the West End Republican Club is Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Chestnuthill Star Diner, 2187 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Those planning to eat there are asked to come an hour earlier.
Game Commission
The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking input from the public in surveying wild turkeys this summer. It continues through Aug. 31. People can report sightings through the commission’s website.
Pavilion Concert
Effort UMC is hosting a pavilion concert on Sept. 7. Featured will be the band The Kings of Queen Street. Free food will be available from 5:30 p.m. The concert is from 6 to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine. Folks are reminded to bring a lawn chair. The opportunity for a free will offering for the band will be available.
Soup sale set
Effort UMC is accepting orders for its soup sale. Soups for September are lentil with sausage and loaded baked potato. Sale runs through Sept. 25, with the pick-up dates of Sept. 29 after each service. Order forms are on the church’s Welcome Center. For questions, call the church office at 570-629-1890.

Monroe County Conservation District’s Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center’s 2025 photo contest has been announced. Folks should send photos that showcase Monroe County’s finest natural resources.
