PSP Bethlehem - incidents

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at 9 p.m. July 26 at the Lil Wolf Trailer Park, Lil Wolf Drive, North Whitehall Township.

They said someone damaged a basketball backboard at the location. The estimated damage was $1,222.

• Jasmine Hunsicker, 27, of Lehighton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police conducted a traffic stop at 2:57 a.m. July 27.

She was stopped in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler for numerous traffic offenses in the 1100 block of Airport Road, Allentown, after which time she exhibited signs of impairment and refused to submit to standardized field sobriety testing.

• A 70-year-old Coplay woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident police were called to at 3:14 p.m. July 31 at a property on Homestead Drive, North Whitehall Township.

She told police she gave her First Northern Bank account information to an unknown male under the impression they were dating, after which time she discovered her account was compromised by $4,500.

• Police were called to a burglary at 11:57 p.m. May 7 at a property on Kingstead Drive, Washington Township, and arrested the son of a 75-year-old Slatington woman.

They said the 55-year-old Slatington man entered his mother’s home through an unlocked door, went to her room and took an engagement ring valued at $2,800, $600 in cash and an iPad.

Police said it was determined the man had an active warrant for his arrest against him. He was taken into custody, after which time police found suspected methamphetamine on his person.

• Police said an all-terrain vehicle was stolen in a burglary that was reported to them at 10:32 a.m. July 16.

It occurred at a property on Bellview Road, North Whitehall Township.

A 61-year-old man from New Tripoli, told police that when he arrived at his work shed, he observed the bolt lock that keeps the door secure was broken and the ATV was missing from inside.

• Corelia Hughes, 43, of Shillington, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 10:25 p.m. July 2 at the intersection of Main Street and Route 873 in North Whitehall Township.

She was stopped in a 2016 GMC Acadia for Title 75 violations, after which time she was found to be in possession of marijuana and impaired by the usage of such, according to police.
