Glenn Fritzinger, leader of the Culinary Team at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua, presents a check for $1,500 to Tamaqua Fire Police President Richard Wentz. The check represents the proceeds from the July ice cream social Zion hosted to benefit the fire police. This is the sixth year Zion has donated to Tamaqua emergency service companies. Past recipients are South Ward, Citizen and East End and American Hose fire companies and the Tamaqua Rescue Squad.
