Colleen C. Stanek, 62, of Tamaqua, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:41 p.m. July 25 on Route 309, just south of Ye Old Hauto Road, in Rush Township.

State police at Frackville said she was transported by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.

She was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Two passengers, Frank Bowman, 53, no address listed, and Olivia C. Stanek, 24, also of Tamaqua, were also taken by the Tamaqua EMS unit to the Coaldale hospital.

Police said Bowman has “possible injuries” while Olivia Stanek had minor injuries.

The crash occurred when Colleen Stanek, driving a 2023 Nissan Rogue north on Route 309, crossed the centerline and entered the southbound lane while negotiating a curve, striking the right side of a 1998 Freightliner driven by Robert W.
