90-year-old pedestrian killed in Lehigh

A 90-year-old woman from South Whitehall Township, died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest when she was struck by a vehicle, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Evelyn M. Rushatz was pronounced dead at 2:03 p.m. Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Buglio said she was a pedestrian who was run over by a motor vehicle at approximately 1:20 that afternoon in the parking lot at 101 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. in the township.

The incident is being investigated by the township’s police department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
