August 5, 2005 — Joe Teprovich’s driving basket with 11 seconds to play breaks a tie score and helps lift Service Electric to a 55-53 comeback victory over Schick’s Cafe Calcutta in the championship game of the ESRC summer basketball league. Teprovich scores 13 points in the contest, while teammate Jeff Peel leads the winning club with 14. Service Electric, which trailed by as many as 12 points, also receives seven from Mark Brayford and five from Mike Murphy. For Schick’s, Derrick McFarland nets 19 points and Jim Barron finishes with 14.
