A Shamokin man was taken for medical treatment after he crashed his truck on Brockton Mountain Drive in Ryan Township at 3:34 p.m. July 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the driver, Darrin Bartholomew, 56, was traveling south when he lost control on a curve and crashed into an embankment and tree. The vehicle then reentered the roadway and struck an embankment and bush on the other side. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.

Bartholomew was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton by Tamaqua Ambulance Association for suspected minor injuries.

The Ryan Township Fire Company assisted. Police cited Bartholomew for the crash.
