ON THIS DATE AUGUST 2, 1967

The Summit Hill Borough Council named a new council member and health officer at its meeting last night in the borough hall.

The council appointee came on a 5-1 vote, resulting in Walter Williams receiving the post. He was favored by Thomas Miller, Thomas Magee, Thomas Nothstein, Edward Evans and Gordon Henninger. Councilman Alex Sommers cast his vote for Nelson Lindermuth, whom he nominated for the unexpired term of former council president Earl Henninger, who resigned.

Mrs. Mildred Spayd, R.N., was unanimously named health officer.
