NL grad hosts field hockey clinic for Gold Award

A 2024 Northern Lehigh High School graduate is holding a field hockey clinic as the final step toward her Gold Award, the highest award that a Girl Scout can earn.

Aricka Creyer said that her Scoring A Goal Field Hockey Clinic is for new and experienced players in kindergarten through sixth grade.

It will be held from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12-16 at Eagles Nest, 3818 Eagle Road, Slatington.

Creyer said that returning players are welcome to bring their own gear. For new players, sticks will be provided; shin guards and mouth guards are recommended.

Players will receive a T-shirt for their attendance

Creyer said that she has worked alongside Michelman Steel Enterprise LLC to weld official high school sized goals, which will be placed at Eagles Nest Park in the outfield of the baseball field to allow for players of all ages to improve their skills.
