On Dec. 1, 2022, the Colonial League voted unanimously to invite Lehighton and Jim Thorpe into the Colonial League as full members to begin in August of 2024.

At subsequent Jim Thorpe and Lehighton board meetings, they accepted the offer and decided to join the league.

Since March of 2023, the Colonial League has been working on league organization and updating its rules. This season will be the first season of 15 full member schools in the Colonial League.
