The Lehighton Memorial Library has received $3,200 toward the Building Fund goal of $40,000, according to the first progress report which was made at the July meeting.

Plans are now being completed for the construction of the new library. Final drawings and specifications were received from the architect last week.

John Wehr, board president, detailed the contributions to board members and pointed out much more financial help will be necessary to make the project a reality.
