Fire companies from throughout Carbon County responded to a working commercial structure fire Wednesday afternoon in Jim Thorpe. The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. at a large commercial construction garage along Silk Street.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy flames pouring through the roof of the metal clad wood frame structure.

No injuries were reported in the fire. A state police fire marshal was on scene investigating the incident.
