State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Wendoly G. De Jesus Brito, 39, of Mahanoy City, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:38 a.m. July 6 on Interstate 81 in New Castle Township.

Police said she was driving a 2007 Jeep Compass southbound on the Exit 124A ramp and was traveling at a speed greater than reasonable when she lost control. Police said she overcompensated on a right curve, causing her to lose control of the vehicle, which exited the west side of the exit ramp and struck an embankment. The Jeep struck a concrete barrier and a second embankment before coming to a halt. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver was cited, police said.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:06 p.m. July 9 on the Keystone Boulevard in Cass Township.

Police said it happened when Jossy Jimenez-Sanchez, 34, of Saint Clair, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, made a left turn from the right lane in front of a 2020 Freightliner driven by Tyrell D. Maddox, 30, of Cleveland, Ohio, striking the rig. Police said the Trailblazer had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Jimenez-Sanchez was cited for the crash, police said.

• Jaden S. Coombe, 19, of New Ringgold, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 9:34 p.m. July 8 on the Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado that crossed over into the oncoming lane and sideswiped a 2016 Dodge Ram truck operated by Andrew J. Drebitko Jr., 68, of Minersville.

Police said both vehicles had minor damages and were able to be driven from the scene.

• Ronald E. Devlin, 81, of New Philadelphia, was cited for “vehicle turning left” after a two-vehicle mishap at 5:31 p.m. July 13 at the intersection of Valley and Pine streets in New Philadelphia. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2011 Volvo that made a left turn across the oncoming lane in front of a 2004 GMC Sierra driven by Timothy A. Rau, 62, of Frackville. The Volvo struck the GMC causing disabling damages to both vehicles.
