The Borough of Palmerton chalked up another successful visit of the American Red Cross Bloodmobile yesterday when 103 pints of blood were collected at the West End Fire Company hall.

Officials were quite pleased with the turnout despite temperatures near 100 degrees. Willard Steigerwalt was the coordinator of the visit, assisted by Elizabeth Cyr and Joan Turko.

Two donors received three-gallon pins during the visit. They were Polly Proctor and Mrs. Turko. Jim Nonnemacher received a two-gallon pin while recipients of one-gallon pins were John Cebrosky, Harry Diebert, Tina Haupt and Garry Smith.
