Towamensing captured the Panther Valley Little League 11-12 championship on Saturday with a victory over the Tamaqua 12s.

A big fourth inning lifted Towamensing to a 7-1 victory over the Tamaqua 12s to claim the Panther Valley Little League 11-12 tournament title.

The winners scored all seven of their runs in the fourth to snap what had been a scoreless tie.

Brady Ivancich had a hit and knocked in two runs for Towamensing, while Luke Machalik blasted a triple, scored a run and knocked in one. Cade Serfass also chipped in with a hit and a run.

The champs took advantage of nine walks, three of them to Jake Collins, who added a run scored.

Serfass earned the victory, pitching four shutout inning and striking out eight. Zack Zelinsky and Machalik both threw a scoreless inning to close out the win.

Tamaqua received a hit and a run from Adilynn O’Gurek, while Jaxon Faneck and Tavin Makovec each added a hit.
