Blast Furnace Blues back in Bethlehem

The Blast Furnace Blues Festival returns Friday and Saturday to ArtsQuest’s SteelStacks campus, Bethlehem.

The event, in its 13th year, will feature the blues styles of Memphis, New Orleans, Texas, Mississippi, Chicago and Harlem, plus Lehigh Valley blues groups.

Performances will take place at the Levitt Pavilion on 645 East First Street, and the Highmark Blue Shield Community Stage on the Air Products Town Square, located at 101 Founders Way.

Friday’s lineup consists of: Eden Brent, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Levitt Pavilion; Bedlam Blues, 6:30 p.m., Town Square; The Harlem Gospel Travelers, 7:30 p.m., Levitt Pavilion; and Tony Holiday, 9 p.m., Town Square.

Saturday’s schedule features: Nate Myers and the Aces, 2 p.m., Town Square; Sierra Green and the Giants, 3 p.m., Levitt Pavilion; The SlideWinder Blues, 4:30 p.m., Town Square; The Skya Burell Band, 5:30 p.m., Levitt Pavilion; Eddie Davis & Blues Anatomy featuring Sister Blue, 6:30 p.m., Town Square; Annika Chambers and Paul DesLauriers, 7:30 p.m., Levitt Pavilion; and Jump, Jive, and Wail, 9 p.m., Town Square.
