Towamensing and Tamaqua both earned victories in the Panther Valley 11-12-year-old Little League tournament Tuesday.

Anthracite-Towamensing

Towamensing rolled to a 12-4 win over Anthracite.

Charlie Borger had a triple among his two hits with an RBI and scored three runs. Cade Serfass homered and finished with two RBIs and a run scored, while Nicholas Zulic doubled, scored twice and had two walks.

Brady Ivancich also doubled, and Luke Machalik had a hit, RBI and scored twice.

Jake Seitz had a big day at the play for Anthracite, picking up three hits and driving in a run, while Kale Koerbler had a hit, RBI and scored twice.

Jim Thorpe-Tamaqua

Tamaqua cruised to a 14-6 win over Jim Thorpe.

Ryan Geronimo had two doubles among his three hits and finished with an RBI and a run scored.

Cain Conner (double, two RBIs, two runs scored) and Chayse Barron (three runs scored, RBI, triple) each finished with two hits in the win. Tevin Makovec added a double, two RBIs and scored twice.

Barron started and struck out eight in four innings. Makovec finished with two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Jaxon O’Shura had a double and two hits for Jim Thorpe. Jackson Engelebart finished with a hit, RBI and a run scored.
