State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a shoplifting incident that happened between 11:20 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. April 17 at the Weis Market, Route 209 and Weir Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township.

They said a dark blue Lincoln SUV approached the fire lane of the market and two women entered the store and filled their shopping carts with store items. One of the carts had items totaling $357.12 in it while the other had $185.32 worth of items in it. Police said the first woman left the store and was approached by a store employee. They said she placed her cart full of items in a cart parking stall, with the store recovering the items. The second woman did not return items to the store.

• Police were summoned to a missing person incident at 8:42 a.m. May 10 on Darcy Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

They said the mother of a 15-year-old Saylorsburg girl reported she last saw her daughter at about 9 p.m. May 9.

• An 89-year-old Saylorsburg man reported a theft incident that police were called to at a property on Hickory Lane, Chestnuthill Township.

He told police between noon May 27 and noon June 17 someone removed three rolls of 4-foot chain-link fence from a unlocked shed on his property. The fence is worth $300, police said.

• A 54-year-old Albrightsville man was charged with criminal mischief after police were called to an incident at 8:12 p.m. June 18.

It happened at a property on Hunter Lane, Penn Forest Township. A 49-year-old woman from Albrightsville told police the man walked onto her property and began to yell, then punching her 2020 Jeep Compass, causing damage to the front passenger’s door.

• Police were called to a theft from a motor vehicle incident that happened at 6:50 a.m. June 17 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

A45-year-old man from Fleetville and Fabcor Inc. of Jessup reported the incident.

Police said someone stole about $6,000 worth of power tools from a 1988 International box truck that was parked at the above location.

The tools included batteries, cordless grinder, cordless drills, a sawzall and a partner saw.

• Police were called to a scattering rubbish incident at 1:44 p.m. June 2 at the intersection of Route 534 and Mountain Road in Penn Forest Township.

A 56-year-old Albrightsville man told police he saw someone dump nine bags of garbage into a dumpster and leave the scene in a 2007 Nissan Frontier before he could confront him.

• Police said a Stroudsburg woman reported a theft by disposition of funds incident at 7:44 p.m. June 19 at 268 Appenzell Terrace, Jackson Township.

She told police the incident occurred when she purchased Philadelphia Eagles’ tickets for $600 on Facebook using Apple Pay from someone she believed was a friend.

• Police are investigating the theft of $451 worth of fish from Big Brown Fish Hatchery, Effort, at 2668 Route 115, Chestnuthill Township.
