July 9, 2006 — Tamaqua’s offense explodes for 22 hits in cruising to a 23-2 victory over Jim Thorpe in the District 18 9-10 Little League tournament. Brett Kosciolek strikes out seven batters in three scoreless innings to gain the win, and helps his own cause with three hits at the plate. The winners also receive three hits from Anthony Agosti, Dylan Rynkiewicz and Adam Bates, while Matt Roberts finishes 2-for-2. Dallas Shafer adds an inning of relief for Tamaqua, and strikes out two.
