A family fun excursion is on deck in Bowmanstown.
Resident Raine Neal gave a brief overview of the Community Picnic to borough council on Tuesday.
Neal said the Community Picnic is from 2 to 9 p.m. on July 13 in the fire company grove.
She said the picnic will be sponsored by Bowmanstown Area Residents Connected, the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company, and the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club.
Neal said there is no charge to attend the event, which will consist of food, cash bar, basket raffle, vendors and games.
There will be music by Troubled Wine at 2 p.m., It Takes Two at 4 p.m., and Big Bone Daddy at 6 p.m.
The event also features food, a basket raffle, vendors, and raffle ticket, said Neal, a member of the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club.
“All the funds raised will be distributed to all three equally,” Neal said. “We do hope this will be an annual event.”
