Lansford Borough sent out its first round of bills with the new look this month, and is seeking feedback, Council President Bruce Markovich said Tuesday.
“I think there’s a couple of changes that we have to tweak on them,” Council President Bruce Markovich said. “We got a couple of complaints on them. Some things aren’t clear on it.”
The borough revamped its bills for garbage and sewage transmission fees last month, replacing postcard billing with new paper bills that allow people to detach a portion of the bill and remit it with payment.
A few people have since come into the borough office trying to pay their water bills, because they’re getting them confused, Markovich said.
“I guess they’ll get used to it,” he said. “If anyone has any issues, get back to us.”
Council Vice President Jay Doyle said that he wasn’t sure the dates were correct, as it doesn’t appear to have a penalty phase on the bills.
“You’re pretty much going right into the next cycle,” he said. “I don’t think the dates are correct. They don’t seem right to me. Maybe we can look at them.”
