Beltzville State Park closed around 8:45 a.m. with still another 1,000 vehicles lined up along Pohopoco Drive wanting to get in.

Traffic was backed up three miles from the entrance along Pohopoco Drive.

The gates opened around 7:30 a.m., with vehicles from as far as New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Virginia flowed through the gates.
