One person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash in West Penn Township. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. as a motorist was traveling south on Route 309 when a sport utility vehicle pulled out of Blue Mountain Drive into his path of travel.

After impact the southbound car came to rest against the guiderails while the sport utility vehicle came to rest in heavy brush along the southbound berm. One person was being evaluated by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance.

West Penn Township police are investigating the incident.
