State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• The driver of a 2007 Dodge 300 that “rear-ended” a 2017 Toyota Tacoma at 8:56 a.m. June 24 on Skyline Drive in Blythe Township was cited for following too closely.

Police did not identify the drivers but said both vehicles were southbound when the incident occurred.

The Dodge had damages to its front bumper whole the Tacoma was not damaged, police said.

• Joanne M. Kerrick, 62, of Hazleton, had minor injuries in a one-vehicle mishap at 9:27 a.m. June 22 on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Police said she was driving a 2007 Toyota Matrix northbound when a tractor trailer also traveling north began to enter her lane of travel without clearance.

Police said Kerrick overcompensated and lost control of the vehicle, which went off the road and struck an embankment.

The Matrix was towed from the scene, police said.
