Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Accepted the 2023 financial statements as presented by Kirk, Summa and Company.

• Appointed Carlene Andress to the zoning hearing board.

• Approved a junior firefighter membership appointment.

• Approved the Palmerton Municipal Fire Department to attend the Walnutport dedication ceremony on Saturday, the Northampton Community Days parade on July 20, and the Lehighton Fire Department 150th anniversary on Sept. 28.
