The Friends of Lansford Recreation presents a July Fourth evening of polkas in Kennedy Park.

The Pennsylvania Villagers, a polka band with its origins in Andrewsville, will be performing Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

People are encouraged to bring a partner for dancing and a chair to sit back and enjoy the music.

Phil’s French Fries will be serving burgers, fries, pierogies, and Delacruz Delites will have cookies, cupcakes and other sweet treats, starting at 4 p.m.

Admission is free.
