Marian High School announced on Wednesday that head softball coach Joe DeAngelo is set to retire.

“We are grateful and blessed for Coach DeAngelo and all that he has done for the softball program and athletic department,” the school said in a release.

DeAngelo served as the Fillies’ head coach for 12 years.

During that time, Marian won eight Schuylkill League division championships and reached two district finals.

DeAngelo compiled a record of 161-95 during his tenure, and is the winningest softball coach in Marian history.
