The Coaldale Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police conducted a focused traffic enforcement detail in Coaldale on Monday.

The initiative, which lasted four hours, aimed to enhance road safety and encourage responsible driving behavior.

During the detail, officers made 49 contacts with motorists.

As a result, 23 citations and 26 verbal warnings were issued for various violations of the Pennsylvania vehicle code.

The infractions included stop sign violations, seat belt violations, speeding and driving with suspended licenses.

“This traffic detail was part of our ongoing effort to improve public safety by reducing traffic violations and preventing accidents,” according to Coaldale Chief Joseph Krebs. “We are committed to making our roads safer for everyone, and we believe that increased enforcement and awareness are key components in achieving this goal.”

Police from both agencies remain dedicated to ensuring the safety of all residents and visitors.
