State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 24-year-old Walnutport man was involved in an assault incident that police were called to at 4:37 a.m. June 9 on Walker Drive in Allen Township. Police said the man was struck in the face several times by a suspect.

Police said the parties refused to cooperate with them.

• Police issued defiant criminal trespass citations to Danielle Yost, 40, of Northampton, and Michael Strohl, 39, of Lehighton, after they were called to an incident at 5:24 a.m. June 7.

Police said the property owner is North Whitehall Township, Coplay. They said Yost and Strohl trespassed onto private property.

• A 53-year-old woman from Trappe was charged with retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Fine Wine and Spirits store, 5041 Route 873, North Whitehall Township.

Police said on March 11, April 29 and May 3, 5, 6 and 10, Rachel Hain entered the store and traveled to the wine section where she would place one bottle of wine in her purse while taking another bottle to the counter to pay for it. In all, she took six bottles of wine worth $95.94, police said.

• Tazaris McNair, 25, of Slatington, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a property at South Loop Road and Brown streets in Washington Township at 8:52 p.m. May 31.

Police said the other person involved is a 22-year-old woman from Slatedale who reported McNair struck her in the face multiple times with a fist.

• Alexander Fries, 31, of Slatington, is facing charges of simple harassment after he was involved in a fight with his father, a 58-year-old Slatington man, in an incident at 7:23 p.m. May 10 at 3446 Mountain Road, Washington Township. Police said the father felt his arm was broken in the altercation. He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township, for an evaluation. Police said Fries was also taken to that facility, after which time was taken into custody.

• Police responded to a burglary report at 3:07 p.m. April 29 at 6535 Paupack Lane, East Allen Township.

They said a 41-year-old woman from Bethlehem, she reported her front door was shattered and the rear sliding door of the home was open when her daughter arrived home from school. Police did not provide any other information on the incident.

• A 62-year-old Slatington woman and a 48-year-old Germansville woman were involved in a robbery police were called to at 4:01 p.m. June 6 at 6121 Route 309, Heidelberg Township.

Police said a black male wearing a ski mask forcibly took a package from the women while it was in the process of being delivered, after which time he fled the scene in a silver/aluminum-colored vehicle in which another suspect was the occupant. Stolen were two iPhones, valued at $829.99 and $729.99, and two iPads, valued at $499.99 each.

• Police cited a 13-year-old girl from Slatington and a 13-year-old girl from Dunmore on charges of harassment by physical contact after an incident at the Kids Peace facility in North Whitehall Township. It happened at 5:01 p.m. June 12 when the girls struck a 13-year-old girl from Orefield 9-10 times while staff members attempted to separate the parties. Police said the girl from Orefield suffered a superficial scratch on the back of her neck.

• A 72-year-old woman from Schnecksville, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident at 4:20 p.m. June 14 on Trexler Road in North Whitehall Township.

The other person involved is an 80-year-old man from Schnecksville who police said was struck in the arm with an over-head-arm-reaching apparatus, casing a small abrasion to his arm and causing the man to fall resulting in a second abrasion.

• Police are investigating a burglary at the Orefield Post Office, 4711 Kernsville Road, North Whitehall Township.

They said between 6 p.m. June 15 and 12:53 p.m. June 16 someone forced their way into the building where they ransacked multiple packages and stole items.
