State police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:

• Helena M. Brown, 24, of Albrightsville was not injured when the 2008 Honda Accord she was driving struck a 2022 Ford F350 operated by Matthew C. Fonseca, 22, of Palmerton, who had been traveling at a slow rate of speed due to traffic. Police said both vehicles came to rest in the parking lot of the Brodheadsville Veterinary Clinic.

Police said the Accord remained in the lot, pending a person tow, while the F350 was able to be driven from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle mishap at 8:23 a.m. June 11 on the Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said it happened when a 2008 Jeep Liberty driven by Tyler G. Cole, 20, of Albrightsville, struck the rear of a 2021 Honda Pilot operated by Francesca A. McCutcham, 36, of Kunkletown, after the driver came to a stop in the traffic lane when multiple deer crossed the road from the south shoulder.

Police said Cole was cited for driving for the incident.
