Franklin Township earned wins from both its Junior Connie Mack team and its 8-10 All-Star squad over the weekend.

Franklin Township used a big third inning Sunday to help gain a 6-2 victory over Moore Township.

Brayden Ulshafer went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for the winners, who scored five times in the third to erase a 2-0 deficit.

Jake Albert added a hit, run and RBI, while Cash White and Brock Atwood also knocked in a run.

White gained the pitching win, allowing two hits and two runs in five innings. Alex Kish tossed two scoreless innings to preserve the victory.

Franklin Township had an outstanding offensive effort Saturday, while its two pitchers combined on a no-hitter in a three-inning 20-0 victory.

The winners collected 20 hits, including three from both B. Brungard and Jake Kistner. Kistner also scored three times and knocked in three runs, while Brungard had three runs and two RBIs.

Grayson Shupp contributed a pair of hits and three RBIs, and Christian Snyder finished with two hits and three runs. FT also received two hits and two runs from Eli Tirpak, Nolan Kotch, Dean Kuhns and B. Brungard.

Kistner pitched two hitless innings, striking out four. Owen Shaner added a hitless third, recording all three outs via the strikeout.

Anthracite-Tamaqua

Tamaqua exploded for 11 runs in the third inning Saturday and its pitchers tossed a no-hitter in a three-inning 15-0 victory over Anthracite.

Grayson Smith paced the winners with two hits, three runs and two RBIs.

Abram Graver, who added a hit and two runs, pitched 2 2/3 hitless innings, striking out seven. Chase Eltringham recorded the final out to complete the no-hitter.

Bryce Tuckett finished with a hit, two runs and an RBI, while Ellison Sommers contributed a hit, run and RBI.
