A service of worship commemorating the 25th ordination ceremony of the Rev. Paul H. Curvey of Whips Cove and Cedar Grove churches of the Southern Fulton Larger Parish, Warfordsburg, PA, was held recently.

Rev. Curvey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Curvey of Tamaqua. He graduated from Tamaqua High School, Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C., and the Lancaster Seminary.

He was baptized in 1931, confirmed in 1945 and ordained in 1957, all by the late Rev. Dr. Arthur C. Thompson, then pastor of Trinity Evangelical Reformed Church, now Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.

He served parishes in West Virginia, New York and New Jersey before his present pastorate that began in 1974.
