State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following:

• James Avila, 22, of Glenshaw, is facing theft charges after police were called to the Silver Pines Treatment Center, Mahanoy City, at 10:27 a.m. June 14.

Police said it is possible he stole prescription medication from the facility.

• James Englert, 47, of Tamaqua, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic-related incident at 4:50 p.m. June 7 at a property on Lehigh Street in Schuylkill Township. A 64-year-old woman told police Englert shoved her during the course of an argument.

• Police were called to a shoplifting incident at 7:01 p.m. June 12 at the Walmart store located on Plaza Drive in Hometown, Rush Township.

They said the store reported an unidentified man failed to scan numerous items valued at $96.13 at a self-checkout register and left the store without paying for them. Police said he fled the scene in an older model Chevrolet pickup truck.

• Police said a 42-year-old McAdoo man was cited after an incident at 12:45 p.m. June 16 at 535 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo. Police said they arrived at the residence to apprehend the accused of multiple warrants and found him hiding in the basement of the home under a pile of blankets. He was apprehended and transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.
