State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Daniel Dubose, 21, of Saint Clair, is facing multiple charges after an incident at 11:20 a.m. June 8 on Interstate 80 westbound in Kidder Township.

Police said they attempted to stop him in a 2011 Nissan Titan for Motor Vehicle Code violations. He fled the scene and was ultimately pulled over near mile marker 268 in Foster Township and taken into custody. Police said they seized narcotics and also deemed Dubose as driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

In addition to DUI, he is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person and numerous summary offenses. Police said he was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Institute, Nesquehoning.

• A 41-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, reported a theft that police said happened between April 28 and June 2 along Semmel Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he reported unknown actors stole his utility trailer from behind his summer home and fled the scene with it.

• Linda Silverberg, 68, of Effort, was cited for a dog law violation after police responded to an incident at 3:36 p.m. June 10 on Merwinsburg Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said her two pit bulls escaped their enclosure and went onto the property of a 36-year-old woman from Effort, chasing her and her cat. They said the incident is the third one involving Silverberg’s dogs.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 221 Route 715, Chestnuthill Township.

They said a blue sedan entered the township park at about 11:17 p.m. June 7 and four while males exited it, damaging a concrete post before leaving the scene around 12:07 a.m. June 8.

The damages are estimated at $500.

• A 62-year-old man from Effort reported a theft incident on June 10 on Upper Ridge Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he reported someone accessed his eBay account and attempted to purchase an iPad for $704.89.

Police said the account was frozen and the man did not suffer a financial loss.

• Two people were issued citations for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police responded to false alarms.

In one instance, police said four alarms were activated between May 12, 2023, and May 20 of this year at 1580 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township. The property owner was not identified.

In the second instance, Richard Furlong, of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, was cited after alarms went off four times at his property at 59 Oak Ridge Drive, Penn Forest Township, between Sept. 9, 2023, and May 26 of this year.

• William Eichelsdoerfer, 57, and Marlyn Dakle, 38, both of Brodheadsville, were cited for harassment after police responded to an incident at 11:52 a.m. June 17 at 2610 Highview Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they called each other derogatory names to harass each other.

They said a Rhinebeck, New York, man is also a victim of the incident
