A 56-year-old man is in critical condition in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, after police and emergency responders were called to a possible drowning incident at 3:04 p.m. Monday.

It happened off Market Street in Kline Township.

Police said emergency responders arrived on scene and began performing life saving measures before the man was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

He was later lifeflighted to the Salisbury Township facility.
