Carbon County senior citizens are encouraged to join Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-Carbon, and Sen. David Argall, R-Carbon/Schuylkill/Luzerne, at their scam seminar on Thursday in Lehighton.

The free event will take place from 10-11 a.m., at Lehighton Senior Center, 243 S. 8th St.

“This is a great opportunity for our senior citizens to learn how to avoid the latest scams,” said Heffley. “Scammers are always coming up with new ways to take advantage of folks, so this is a chance for residents to learn and also ask questions.”

David P. Shallcross from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General will be the presenter.
