June 17, 2001 - Gerry Washack pitches a three-hit shutout to lead the Birches to a 7-0 Northampton County (NORCO) Legion victory over the Wanderers. Washack doesn’t surrender any walks and strikes out nine in his team’s fifth straight win. The Birches break a scoreless tie by scoring three runs in the fourth, highlighted by Bob Monahan’s two-run double. The winners, who put the game away with a four-run sixth, also receive two-base hits from Washack, Pat McGoldrick and Jesse Borden.
