Crews remove the flagpole atop S.S. Palmer Elementary in Palmerton on Thursday afternoon. Palmerton Area School District is completing a roof replacement project and a renovation to relocate the central office with a secured entrance at the school. A new flagpole will be located on ground level. Thursday's flagpole removal was completed with help from the Palmerton Fire Department, which offered a ladder truck, and a crane from All-Trade Construction. JARRAD HEDES/TIMES NEWS
